Parent Council
Welcome to Scotstoun Primary Parent Council!

Scotstoun Primary Parent Council exists to represent all parents and carers of kids at the school (known as the Parent Forum) in matters pertaining to their children’s education. We have an open and active Parent Council here at Scotstoun Primary School. Our responsibilities are guided by the Parental Involvement Act 2006 and some specific responsibilities include:

1) supporting the School to raise standards of education and the development of each pupil to their full potential;
2) promoting contact between parents, pupils and the community;
3) seeking feedback from parents; and
4) fundraising, which at Scotstoun Primary is done in a fundraising group (“the PTA”, Parent Teacher Association).

The Parent Council meets approximately once per month, with an annual AGM and Parent Forum. Details of our meetings as well as some of the activities we have been involved in can be found on our website here.

If there is anything you would like to contact us about, or would like us to look into, please get in touch.

Alternatively drop a note into the school office and ask for it to be passed on to us.
